Brooks Range Bible Camp

I had the incredible privilege of going to the Brooks Range Bible Camp at Crevice Creek for the second week of our camp which was teen camp. We had 27 campers from the villages of Anatuvik Pass, Alakaket, and Bettles who came for 5 days of camp. After my brief experience last year I was glad to see the full scope of camp with it's activities and all the joys and hardships that face these kids living in the dark villages of northern Alaska.

 I served in the kitchen helping a lady from a local church here in our KAC area who has been going up to do the cooking. It is creative cooking and logistics to cook off of flown in propane and run your water off a generator run water pump with filtered creek water. It was amazing to me to see these kids light up at the special attention they are given in these few days.

The runway provides a great place to play games and run.

Meals are fun for the kids even, living remotely they get excited about just about anything to eat but especially vegetables.

We had a baptism the last day for those who wanted to publicly testify their faith in Christ

The sunsets were amazing as they were pretty much just a blip over the horizon and starting to com around the other side of the hill an hour later. It is an amazing and special place to minister with so many needs and I feel blessed to have been a part of the ministry there.
