Lots has been happening around here with very little posting but here are a few pics of some of the places I've been and the things that have been getting done

Overnight trip to Brook Range Bible Camp

So Dwayne, Kittikoon and I made a quick overnight trip up to brooks range to drop off Taiga, Dwayne's Grandaughter for camp and to see how things are going. It was a wonderful whirlwind trip full of fun, joy and laughter. Camp is going great 30 some kids from 3 villages and 30 some staff/ staff kids there keeping it all running. Below are some pictures from the trip.

 Thanks for all the prayers for each day and for camp, there are so many lost kids from isolated villages who are hearing about God's love and are thinking about all the things that are shared with them. Pray for safety traveling in and out and for the time spent out in the wilds of the north.

An Alaskan 4th of July

Its been a crazy few days here at Kingdom Air Corps with everyone going off to camp, but before everyone left we had an exciting July 4th festivities. Our whole community is invited to Arnie's place, a sort of center of the glacier view community with his zip line business but also a pavilion and a beautiful strategically placed cliff for fun and dangerous festivities. At noon there was a formation fly over by 3 Kingdom Air Planes as Taiga (Dwayne's Granddaughter) read a speech then there was the national anthem, the pledge of allegiance and the dish to pass lunch with live local patriotic music to dine by. After lunch there were festivities that only take place in Alaska, the first was to drive 2 vehicles at 30+ mph over a cliff as we all watched and waited at the bottom to oooh and aaah and rate the impacts. Later there were also several bowling balls launched from a cannon into the air, it is interesting to hear the whistle as they go out of ear shot and then as they come back down and you hope not too close to you. That was the excitement July 4th. We would have had a pyrotechnics display except for the strict burn ban due to wild fires. Anyway at least you can still drive cars over cliffs.

Faithful

"Faithful is He who called you for He shall bring it to pass". 1 Thesalonians 5:24
"It is I who looks after you. I am like a luxuriant  cypress; From Me comes your fruit." Hosea 14:8b

      God is so faithful, both what he does for us and through us. It is a great mystery to me how God can use a "flawed tree" to bring forth his fruit. I don't know if I am just learning to see or taking more risk but it seems like everyday God is continually showing me fruit of faith in Him.
   One quick story, Sunday night after evening service our chief mechanic, Dan comes in with Morgan who is volunteering and living here and tell us about the stranded lady they stopped and helped get to a gas station as the transmission on her car went. This is a common occurrence around here, helping others on the roads as we have seen this as an open mission field and a captive audience to show God's love. Anyway a bit later Dan got a text from the lady saying she was still stranded without a ride back to Anchorage so Dan asked if I would accompany he and Morgan to offer her a ride as a female presence would be good and more natural. So at 930 pm we headed the 20 miles to Sutton to see if we could give her a ride. We always pray before such stops for Gods guidance and that he will be glorified in our efforts before going, which is such a confirmation in ones mind that our mission is not ours its Gods.
     Kristen was in her car and relieved but also felt bad about the effort as she said she had someone on the way but we offered to stay with her until they arrived as a gas station in the middle of the night, even on the longest brightest day of the year isn't the best place. So for the next 3 hours she and i talked  back and forth between our cars about her life, her struggles and I shared a bit about God's goodness and sovereignty even in the midst of hard times. She asked me to remember her in prayer, and as we parted at 1240 I invited her to come to the ranch and gave her my number.
     I didn't hear anything from her until today, though I had text inquiring how things were going. So today I was surprised to hear from her she said her car is still in Sutton so soon she will work out a way to get it and when she does she will come out to King Ranch to visit. Once again asked me to pray for her as a single lonely mom of 2 jr high girls. My prayer is that "God who had called me will bring it to pass" the full opportunity to share the gospel and help Kristen understand that lonliness isn't her problem sin and separation from a God is.
    It is just a little thing but I still marvel the fruit that I am allowed to produce and that God can use me to bear it. There are many other story's of late of Gods faithfulness, but what more shall I say for time will fail me if I try and recall all of the stories of Gods faithfulness to me.

Simple Faith

    So everyday God answers prayer but somedays his answers come up and shake your hand and introduce themselves. Today was one of those days.
    Since start up here and there we have had some hitches and glitches with radios in aircraft or as it is known in the industry avionics but we haven't had anyone with a lot of experience and knowledge in this area of work so we have been limping along with squeaky or cracking radios or sticky talk buttons. The last few days the list of radios with squawks has been getting longer and Dwayne and I were discussing it.
   "Someone is coming to help with that," he said.
    "I don't have anyone that I know of on the schedule that is coming, is there someone I don't know about?" I asked
     "Yes, but I don't know who".
      "Because you forgot who is coming?" (In my defense, this is a common occurrence).
      "No because there is someone coming that does avionics that we don't know about".
        I smiled and nodded because after this much time I do know things work out, and God does provide in many ways.  The day goes on and in the afternoon a guy shows up who had called last week about coming by and checking out our operations and possibly spending the night. I went out and met him talked a minute to refresh myself on how he got connected and what he did in aviation, and low and behold when I asked what he did he said well I work in Avionics. I said "we have been expecting you, Dwayne said there was someone coming to help with that and it was you". I introduced him to Dwayne, "this is the avionics guy you said that God was sending" so now for a few days hopefully God has sent us Ryan to help us with our squawks and get us up again.
